Male Southern Black Tit has less white in the wings than Carp's Tit.
Female differs from the female Carp's Tit in being paler grey below and having less white in the wings. Juvenile resembles female.
Forests and broad-leaved woodland.
A harsh chattering 'chrr-chrr-chrr' and a musical 'phee-cher-phee-cher'.
