Burchell's starling
Appearance
Larger and more heavily built than Meves's starling. This species has broader, more rounded wings and a shorter, broader tail, although the tail is proportionally longer than that of other, smaller, glossy starlings.
Juvenile is duller than adult.
Habitat
Thornveld and dry broad-leaved woodland.
Call
Song a jumble of throaty chortles and chuckles.
