White stork

Appearance
Most closely resembles Yellow-billed Stork but differs in having red (not yellow) bill and legs, and an all-white tail. The legs often appear white because the birds excrete on them to lose body heat.
Juvenile has a darker bill and legs, and the white plumage is tinged with brown.
Habitat
Grassland, vleis, cultivated land and pastures.
Call
Silent except on the nest, when loud whining and bill-clapping are given.
