Smooth-head digging scorpion
Appearance
Robust. Large pincers, short tail. Brown or yellow with pale legs. Sting painful but not deadly. Builds complex, spiral burrow.
Hadogenes species are also known as rock scorpions. The family consists of 18 species distributed from South Africa to Tanzania.
Habitat
Throughout Southern Africa.
