Mocking cliff-chat

Appearance
The male's black plumage, bright chestnut belly, vent and rump, and white shoulderpatch are diagnostic.
Female is dark grey above and chestnut below, lacking any white in the plumage. Juvenile resembles female.
Habitat
Bases of cliffs and wooded rocky slopes.
Call
Song a loud, melodious mixture of mimicked bird song.
