Little bee-eater

Appearance
The smallest bee-eater in the region. It is easily identified by its combination of small size, yellow throat, black collar, buff- yellow belly and square-ended, dark-tipped tail. In flight, it shows conspicuous, russet underwings.
Juvenile lacks the black collar of adult.
Habitat
Savanna, woodland, riverine reedbeds and forest margins.
Call
A 'zeet-zeet' or chip-chip'.
