Anchieta's agama


Appearance
A smallish agama with a short head and a short rounded snout.
Breeding adult males are pinkish-brown above, with fine grey and yellow flecks, and 4-5 darm brown to black crossbands that are sometimes separated with a pale dorsal streak. The flanks are reddish-brown. the tail is banded. The head is bright blue-green, with a large, dark blue spot on the throat.
Females and non-breeding males have mottled brown and grey heads. The belly is white to pale yellow and there are dark blueish to grey-black wavy stripes on the throat.

Semi-desert and arid savannah
